BG AA Privacy Statement

At BowlingGreenAA.org, as with any Alcoholics Anonymous group or service committee, the traditions of anonymity and privacy are of paramount importance to us.  A website is no different from a press release, radio report, or film or TV program; in fact, it is somewhat more public due to the relative permanence of information in cyberspace and search engine results, as well as its accessibility regardless of geographic limitations.  As such, we are committed to never sharing or divulging any information regarding those who visit or use our site with or to any third party or outside enterprise.  In keeping with our 7th Tradition, we are fully self-supporting through our own contributions, and thus we never engage in advertisement, sale of e-mail addresses or mailing lists, or marketing in any form.  We are not only trusted servants of the alcoholics that we serve, but also alcoholics ourselves.  We would not wish for our information to be disclosed in such a manner, and likewise we will not disclose yours, either.

Thus, BowlingGreenAA.org will never disclose your e-mail address, name, or contact information on our site or with any other party unless specifically requested by you yourself that we do so.  Even then, only your first name and last initial would be disclosed; full surnames will never be posted on this or any site under the purview of BowlingGreenAA.org or AA KY District 3, or transmitted to any third party.  Most of the time, we will simply decline to be such an intermediary of information.

Please note that links to third-party Web sites may be provided solely for your information and convenience, and do not constitute or indicate affiliation, review, endorsement, or approval of or with the entities that provide these services and information. If you use these links, you will leave our site. This Privacy Statement does not cover the information practices of those websites linked to in our site or that link to our site, nor do we control their content or privacy policies. We suggest that you carefully review the privacy policies of each site you visit.

Any updates or changes to the terms of this Privacy Statement will be posted here on our Site and the date of the newest version posted below. Please check back frequently, especially before you submit any Personally Identifiable Information at our Site, to see if this Privacy Statement has changed (though the “heart” of it never will).

By using our Site, you acknowledge acceptance of this Privacy Statement in effect at the time of use.

If you feel that your personal information has been improperly posted or transmitted, please contact the BowlingGreenAA.org webmaster by clicking here and it will be removed immediately.  We will make every reasonable effort to address your concerns and remedy any problems you bring to our attention.  However, we constantly strive and edit in order to never allow such a situation to arise in the first place.

Thank you, and we shall be with you as you trudge the Road of Happy Destiny.
